Why Gaucho Day is much more than a horseback riding ?

Our Gaucho Day is an authentic adventure to live an entire day with a real gaucho and discover the Andes. During this 4 hours horseback riding with Daniel the Gaucho and one of our specialized guide,we will see amazing landscapes and learn about the traditional Gaucho ways of life.

This tour is unlike any of the other popular and mainstream horse-back riding offered in Mendoza, and is dependent on Daniel’s work schedule and weather conditions.

A Gaucho is an equivalent of the North American «cowboy». The Gaucho plays a nationalistic symbol in Argentina. The Gauchos became greatly admired and renowned in legends, folklore and in literature. Gauchos remain proud and great horse riders. The gaucho’s horse represents most of what he owns in the world.

After leaving Mendoza we arrive at our gaucho ranch and learn the authentic ritual of Argentinean Mate and eat some delicious homemade sopaipillas at Daniel’s home.

After saddled up the horses, we start a 2 hours horse riding into the Andes. We then have a typical lunch at 2700m enjoying majestic views of the Andes.

Then we continue horse riding for 2 more hours and go back to Daniel’s ranch. We finally return to Mendoza.
