The Company kept contact with us always by e-mail, answering pretty soon. The tour started punctually. Our guide was very professional and kind and she gave us many informations and curiosities about Andes. It was an amazing and unforgettable day!
PROGRAM
During this 4/6 hours Andes hike in Vallecitos, you will explore the foothills of the Andes and climb to the Cerro Arenales at 3460m/11350ft, with a high mountain specialized guide. We chose this place for his natural beauty, the diversity of landscapes and the quietness, far from crowded Aconcagua Provincial Park.
- Leaving Mendoza, we are going to the north east to Rio Blanco valley, then connecting a crystalline brook to finish at the “Student’s Ravine”. We Climb up the ravine to pass Lomas Blancas Arenales (3300m). From there we will continue on the edge to reach the summit (3500m).
- There we will appreciate an excellent view of “Cordon del Plata”, Potrerillos Valley and the Pre Cordillera and will have a picnic with majestic view before going down to the base.
This Andes hike is available all year long, but weather permitting. Best season is October-April but during winter the hike is possible with good equipment, Vallecitos is also a Ski station at only 80km from Mendoza city.
