This Villavicencio guided tour is a full day in the pre-Andes of Mendoza and it will enchant you.

From a powerful 4x4 (or fully equipped 4×2 truck), your expert guide will drive you through the famous 365 curves of Villavicencio Natural Reserve. You will experience a day full of sensations, discovering the wild nature of the Andes far from everything.

If you are a photography enthusiast, your camera will not be idle. You will have your finger on the trigger all day long, to capture guanacos, emus, foxes, armadillos, eagles and condors.
With a lot of luck you might even see a puma making its way quietly from afar...

Are you a fan of geology and breathtaking landscapes? no worries, we will show you the 7-colored mountains, geological faults and volcanic rocks. We will get off the beaten track to immerse you in the atmosphere of the old mines, and walk in a ghost town.

Looks like a western movie, with the Andes and majestic Aconcagua as a backdrop.

The return to Mendoza by route 7 will allow us to contemplate the famous reservoir and the Potrerillos dam.
The meal will be taken in Uspallata, where a hearty traditional asado or trout from local rivers awaits us.

Mendoza is not just a wine tour, is it?
But trust us, after this incredible safari, you will love spending a day visiting wineries. You should book the Prestigious wineries of Uco Valley. Private guided wine tour to combine relaxation, gastronomy and great landscapes!

VILLAVICENCIO GUIDED TOUR - PHOTO SAFARI 4X4

DEPARTURE

You will leave your hotel in Mendoza at 8:30 a.m. - Once the introductions have been made with your expert guide, a first journey of approximately 1 hour will allow you to reach the pre-Andes north of Mendoza.

NATURAL RESERVE VILLAVICENCIO - 365 CURVES ROUTE

We begin our climb for 25km, taking this incredible road with 365 turns. It is an unpaved part, sometimes difficult to access which will take us to the summit at around 9900ft/3000m.
Several breaks are planned to help you discover the most beautiful viewpoints, but you will have the opportunity to stop on request for a photo or just to listen to the silence of the Andes.
You will be able to approach guanacos and some other animals during the climb.

THE SO-CALLED PARAMILLOS SUMMIT

A final bend and one of the most breathtaking views of the main Andes appears as if by magic.
At this place you can admire Aconcagua from its other side, an imposing sentinel.
You will feel privileged to be able to gaze at the highest peaks of the Andes, in this wild and strikingly beautiful nature.

AN AIR OF THE FAR WEST

We now begin the descent towards Uspallata for 25km.
The landscapes are now arid and disturbed by geological movements. The atmosphere is that of a film in which you are one of the actors this time.
The vehicle leaves the main road and after a few kilometers you discover the ghost town, vestiges of an old Jesuit mining sites, time when minerals were exploited. This part of this Villavicencio guided tour is subject to the permissions granted by the authorities.

IN DARWIN'S FOOTSTEPS

You read correctly... Charles Darwin was here before you!
On the road going down, you can stop at the commemorative stele of his passage and immerse yourself in the fascinating story of his trip to Argentina.

7 COLOR MOUNTAIN

Just before you eat, your driver-guide will make a detour to walk on the 7-color mountain. One among many others in the Argentine Andes, but this geological zone has nothing to envy of the North West provinces.

USPALLATA HERE WE GO

The well-deserved lunch break will allow you to taste a fresh trout from the Andes or a beautiful piece of Argentinian meat.
Unless you let yourself be tempted by the traditional BBQ/Asado.

WATER FINALLY

Time to end our Villavicencio guided tour, but on our return trip to Mendoza, you will be surprised by the beauty of Lake Potrerillos, and its deep blue contrasting with the mountains that surround it.
